Project: Cellular Antenna Tower Sites
28 Various sites located in Mesa, Delta and Montrose Counties, Colorado

Services GEG performed for each of these sites:  Soils investigation for
foundation design, environmental site assessment, materials testing during construction. 

Client: NTCH Colorado, Inc. and American Tower Corporation

Antenna Project Cost:  3 million

Unique Project Characteristic:  This project involved an initial launch of a cellular communications network that included short turnaround scheduling and daily coordination with the project design and construction team.  Antenna foundations which were designed and constructed varied from driven piling to drilled caisson to shallow mat.

Project: Mesa County Justice Center
Spruce Street and Main Street
Grand Junction, Colorado

Services GEG performed:  GEG was the project geotechnical design consultant and performed all construction inspection and materials observation and testing.

Client:  Mesa County, Colorado

Project Cost:  30 million

Unique Project Characteristic:  This project consisted of a four story, government building, tunnel to the existing prison facility, a jail pod expansion and a work release building.  Foundations included driven piling, spread footing and helical pier underpinning.  Our work on this project, from start to completion, required competent engineering judgement, timeliness and accuracy in field services and ability to work effectively with a large project team.

Project: Grand Junction City Hall

Grand Junction, Colorado

Services GEG performed:  GEG was the project geotechnical design consultant and performed all construction inspection and materials observation and testing.

Client:  Shaw Construction Company

Project Cost:  6.5 million

Unique Project Characteristic:  This project consisted of a two story, government building on driven pile foundations.  Our work on this project, from start to completion, required competence, accuracy and the ability to maintain trust of the owner and contractor during this fast track project.

Project: Ute Water Plateau Creek Waterline Replacement Project
Collbran to Palisade, Colorado

Services GEG Performed:  We provided materials testing of water line backfill and Portland cement concrete, grout and shotcrete placement.

Client:  Ute Water Conservancy District

Project Cost:  20 million

Unique Project Characteristic:  On call testing services provided within 2 hours notice.  After hours and weekend ‘on call’ type work.  We started at project commencement and continue to provide services because of our responsiveness and training.

Project: Walker Field Airport Runway / Taxiway Rehabilitation
Grand Junction, Colorado

Services GEG Performed: We provided asphalt materials compliance testing during construction.

Client:  United Companies

Project Cost:  1 million

Unique Project Characteristic:  We performed asphalt compliance testing under strict Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) guidelines and surveilence / direction by the project engineer.

Project: Garfield County Airport Runway / Taxiway Improvements, 1999
Rifle, Colorado

Services GEG Performed:  We provided soil grading fill and pavement base and sub base course materials compliance testing during construction.

Client:  Con-Sy Inc.

Project Cost:  $600,000

Unique Project Characteristic:  We performed grading fill and pavement base / sub base course compliance testing under strict Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) guidelines and surveillance / direction by the project engineer.

Project: Albertsons and Albertsons Express No. 897 Project
Redlands Marketplace Shopping Center
Grand Junction, Colorado

Services GEG Performed: Soils investigation for foundation design, materials testing during construction. 

Client:  Regency Realty (development and construction)
Albertsons, Inc. (construction)

Project Cost:  1.5 million

Unique Project Characteristic:  This project consisted of design and construction of a ‘big box’ type retail center, including one anchor store (Albertsons), one retail strip building and one fuel center.  Two other retail pads are developed for future construction.

Project: South Rim Slope Investigation
South Rim Subdivision
Grand Junction, Colorado

Services GEG Performed: Geotechnical investigation to evaluate subsurface conditions and analyze slope stability.

Unique Project Characteristic:  This project site is located along the Grand Junction, Colorado bluff overlooking the Colorado River.  Numerous portions of the bluff in this area have become unstable and experienced slope failure.  This project included evaluation and preparation of remedial alternatives.
